Every expense lives in a SQLCipher-encrypted SQLite database on your device. When you back up, Enceipt encrypts the file with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your PIN before any upload. You hold the key. We literally cannot decrypt your backup — not for support, not for subpoenas, not at all.
